Walk in the footsteps of the apostles Peter, Paul, and Mark during the day and study their New Testament writings and lives at night! Travel by deluxe motorcoach to biblical and other ancient sites in Italy that are connected to each of these apostles.

Highlights include visits to the Vatican with its Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Cathedral; the impressive monuments of ancient Rome (Colosseum, Pantheon, Arch of Constantine, Forum, Catacombs, Altar of Peace, and Mamertine Prison—where according to tradition Paul and Peter were held); Hadrian’s Villa; the city of Pompeii, preserved by Mt. Vesuvius’ eruption; Paestum with its two best intact Greek temples in the world; and St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. The tour also involves visits to other sites of historical and cultural importance such as Assisi (home of St. Francis), Florence (location of Michelangelo’s David and other renaissance treasures), and Ravenna with its stunning 5th-6th century mosaics.

Most evenings feature a study session that deals with the ministry of the apostles Peter, Paul, and Mark. Join host Jeff Weima, professor of New Testament at Calvin Theological Seminary and leading biblical scholar, for this inspirational tour.
